We are proud to introduce UCMAS (Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System) as a cornerstone of our educational initiatives.
What is UCMAS?
UCMAS is a globally recognized brain development program based on Mental Arithmetic and the Abacus. Unlike standard mathematics, UCMAS is not just about solving equations; it is a mental gymnastics program designed to stimulate both hemispheres of the brain. By using the ancient tool of the abacus, children learn to visualize calculations, eventually performing complex arithmetic at high speeds without any physical aids.
Why UCMAS for Our Children?
For the children we serve in Herat, confidence is often the first thing lost to the hardships of child labor. UCMAS helps rebuild that confidence through:
